EAB/Lemon Super League 2009: Round 8 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2009: Round 8 Game Vote

Starts: 00:01 June 28
Finishes: 23:59 July 11

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. If you don't, then you will get the treat of a PM from me, asking you to change your vote. If you still don't change it your vote will be discounted. If you aren't sure feel free to ask.

Edited votes will be discounted (unless you are told to edit it, and even then you can only edit the game(s) that aren't suitable) - so think before you post. Also you cannot vote for games that have already been played.

Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon. You can only vote once, and also it could cause confusion if you post your vote on both boards - it's easy for it to be counted twice by accident.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state if you want to play the AGA version or not in your vote. If you don't specify we will assume you want the ECS version. If that game wins the vote we will count up the number of ECS and AGA votes and go for the version with most votes - unless the two versions of the games are exactly the same gameplay-wise, then we will use both.

The winners of Round 7 have double voting power for Round 8. (1 = 10 points, 2 = 8 points etc). However, because the voting for the next round ends before the current round ends, players must place their votes and wait for the current round to end to see who will have their vote doubled. If one person wins both games in Round 8 their vote is trebled.

Extras

Bugged Games

Lotus 2: The different online versions all have different scoring systems. If Lotus 2 is played everyone must use a special version that will be provided by this board, in WHDload and ADF format (UAE requires A1200 setup, High-Density floppy drive, 4MB Fast RAM).

If you know of any other games that could cause problems please PM me, Biscuit or mihcael.

Nearly finished already? I would have thought it would end when the next round is about to begin.

Am I allowed to vote for more than one pinball game?
Am I allowed to vote for any games that were played last season?

I might just be imagining this but I'm sure that Mortal Kombat 2 was discussed in the past and it couldn't be voted for because it didn't have a scoring system (or, at least, a suitable one)?

As it says in the rules (which seemingly nobody ever reads ) you have to change the invalid game otherwise your vote doesn't count.

Wow - I must say the response to this thread was so overwhelming I lost track of the scores. But somehow I managed to count it all up and here's the current standings...

1. Mean Arenas - 20
2. Super Cars 2 - 20
3. Slam Tilt - 17
4. Project-X Special Edition - 16
5. Turrican 2 - 13

Of course, as two sets of votes will be doubled this can change pretty massively yet. If things finish as they are, Mean Arenas will win (incidentally it is currently leading thanks to an extra first-place vote) as rexsu's vote will be doubled and dR_wH0 opted not to vote.

(Note to anyone who doesn't quite get it: VOTING'S FINISHED! DO NOT CAST YOUR VOTE NOW! PLEASE! YOU HAD TWO WEEKS!)

There are obviously quite a lot of possible combinations but there's no chance of me going through them all at this time of night. There'll be lots of changes yet I'd wager.

To be continued...

Thanks to rexsu and Robo-Sparkle having their votes doubled, Mean Arenas wins the vote and will be played in the next round.
