TCP/IP stack help please!

I need to set up a TCP/IP stack for Ibrowse. I can't seem to find Genesis (using OS3.9 Boing Bag 1 & 2 installed)

There does not appear to be an "internet" folder in the System Folder. Perhaps I need to reinstall OS3.9?

It should be on OS3.9 CD in the Internet drawer. try to run the OS3.9 installer and in the option screen select (IIRC) install Internet (or something like that.

I am now online using Genesis, but IBrowse is telling me "Host lookup failed, no DNS entry found". I am connecting via a Ethernet network connection to my PC. Where do I find the DNS entry?

I dont think that GENESIS that is bundled with OS3.9 supports DHCP (an automated way of IP and DNS registration) out of the box...

Either look on the net for how to enable DHCP.

http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/dhcp_amitcp

Or set it up manually with a static IP address's on your Amiga and PC

You need to set the Gateway and the DNS. In Genesis Prefs select interfaces, double click on your network card and:

1) Select ClickTab Interfaces and set the Gateway to the IP address of your router / PC
2) Select Click Tab Resolve and set DNS to the IP address of the Domain Name Server supplied by your internet service provider.

Tried double clicking on Genisis Prefs - nothing happens (tried reinstalling from the OS3.9 CD Rom but didn't make any difference). However the Genisis Wizard works fine. Am I missing something here?

You installed Genesis after the Boing Bags. That way Genesis isn't updated with the Boing Bags. Reinstall the Boing Bags and it will work!
