Apollo 1240 >32mb FastRAM
Hi, have 28Mhz of throbbing Apollo 1240 power .. love it etc. I took one of the 128mb 50ns simms that work in my Blizzard 1230-IV/50Mhz and fed that to it. The apollo only recognises 32mb. Umm yay!
Anyone ever had one of these recognise >32Mb with only 1 simm socket? Thanks. |

Unfortunately, that's the major drawback of the Apollo - 32MB per SIMM socket.

nope, ive been looking into this one myself, unfortunatly even if you got around the hardware the bootrom only checks in 16mb blocks per simm side which equals 32mb per simm socket.
ive wondered whether someone on this site would have a look at the eprom bin file and see if it can be changed. |
