Had a quick burl of the Special Edition tonight and wasn't overly impressed. The game crashed half way through the tunnel out of Helgen, so I didn't really get to have a proper look at their improvements. Installing mods from the main menu of the game is a nice touch, although there isn't much of a selection yet.

I missed too many of my mods, especially skyui, I'd forgotten how awful the interface was without it. Will wait and see if all the ones I use (step core and many others) get converted.

So game is not much without mods, even extended version?

I feel the same with Runes of Magic - without add-ons game IMHO is not playable.

NMM now has official support for the Special Edition of Skyrim.

I use MO to manage my mods. From what I've read the dev is now working on NMM so I don't know if that will be updated to work with it. I used NMM the first time I played the game, but switched to MO when I found S.T.E.P and used that ever since.

I use S.T.E.P core as a base and then have a bunch of mods like campfire, frostfall, hunterborn, hunting in skyrim, convenient horses, open cities (must have mod), and stuff like that. I've never finished the game in the 5 or 6 times I've started it. I will stick with my current LE game for now and try to finish it without getting sidetracked.

Would be interested to compare mod lists with other people to see if theres anything that might catch my eye.

3K+ hours Jimmy. Holy smoke! I think the only thing I could say I've ever consciously put 3K+ hours into is sinking piss and annoying the shit out of my wench. :P

MO is still good too so I have no qualms if you and others use it, NMM is easier to use and still gives you enough advanced features to be useful.

As for my mod list, it varies, this is why I have so many hours, I roll a toon and then play with certain mods installed and then get bored/tired of the toon.

I then archive the save game files and delete them, then roll another toon with a changed mod list.

Rinse and repeat over and over again

I'm doing the same thing with Fallout 4 too

So you guys are playing with mods rather than with game?

Topic should be changed - free (help with) games (mods) ...

I just read on another site that the original version and DLC had to be in your library before the 28th, if it wasn't you've blown it.

Still no way to skip the bullshit in the cart at the start so, I haven't really played it to notice any difference.

I don't think I could play the game without mods. I have a good set of them running now and have a bunch more I want to try out. There are some great ones that add extra quests and gear.

Once I finish the game I want to try this out: http://sureai.net/games/enderal/

My poor little rpi is getting no love since I bought it on steam. I had a cracked copy of the game for years but never really put much time into it.

Dirt 3 Complete edition available for free from the humble store for the next 24 hours.

Good game, probably the best in the series.

So, as expected the UBI giveaway ends with an Assassin's Creed game, the worst one of the lot. Assassin's Creed 3.

A fixed Unity would've capped this giveaway off nicely, but for me it peaked months ago with the crew and has been slowly going downhill since.
