Amiga 1000 + Fighter Duel Pro 2 -- not gonna happen?

HI All,

I used to have Fighter Duel: Corsair vs Zero a long time ago, before I knew how to really fly combat sims, and back when I only had digital joysticks. Fast forward 30 years or so, and I don't have that Amiga any more, but I do have an Amiga 1000, an ACA500+ (on loan), and a lot of experience with flight sims.

I have a copy of Fighter Duel Pro (2), but I can't get it running. The disk images run from ADFs and install on HD no problem on FSUAE, but running from floppy or (CF Card) HD on the A1000 always stops on a blank screen, after disk 2 is loaded. The manual and box say "2 megabytes of chip RAM OR 2 megabytes of Fast RAM". The A1000 definitely doesn't have anything near that chip RAM, but with the ACA500+, I think it has 8 MB of fast RAM.

I've tried under KS 1.2, 1.3, and 3.1. Stops at the same place each time, right about where it should ask for Disk 3.

Anybody have any experience or care to register a guess?

I had an A500 and then a 3000 back in the day, never a 1000, so not familiar with what will be bad with the 1000 from a gaming point of view.

You can modify most Amigas to get to 2M Chip RAM with a DKB Megachip, but I am not aware of a similar option for the Amiga 1000.
