I got the 2000HD plus toaster

Note: excuse the SHOUTING)

Ok, after getting it home, and doing a 2nd look see inside, here is what I have:

COMMODORE AMIGA A2000 HD, SERIAL NUMBER CA1086545 REVISION 6 MB.

(DEAD CLOCK BATTERY, NO CORROSION).

KICKSTART VERSION 2.04 (CUT JUMPER BETWEEN 10 TO 39).
(COUNTING PINS FROM TOP, CUTOUT FACING UP, FROM RIGHT-HAND SIDE TO LEFT-HAND SIDE. (why would someone jump that kickstart rom, then cut the jumper?)

PLUG-IN BOARDS INSTALLED:

ICD:
AdSCSI 2000 scsi board

Digital Processing Systems Inc:
I25VT 2000PCTBC

Trumpcard Professional: PCB 1000 SA1000 ASSY 1000 REV 1.2 4.6 rom

Two SCSI drives installed:
(1) SEAGATE ST51080N
J8 Jumper block assignments
5&6,

(2) QUANTUM PRODRIVE LPS 50011113067.

GREAT VALLEY PRODUCTS
A2000-030 REV 4 INSTALLED XC68030 RC25B PROCESSOR, FPU XC68882RC50A
TWO CRYSTALS, 28.322000 MHZ, 50 MHZ .
RAM FULLY POPULATED

NEWTEK VIDEO TOASTER R/N 5671748

MEGACHIP 2000/500
DKB SOFTWARE P/N 00201101-05
CHIP# 218069-11 8375

I paid $220 USD.

I did see it boot up and work, however, there was a floppy stuck in the drive. Of course, I didn't bother to remove it until this morning, and then I found out that both of the ribbon cables from the heads to the board are broken, so unless I can find a donor drive, it's toasted.

Oh, it also has a 88 mb backup drive, a "Hard drive in a cartridge"

Oh, and I have the Toaster manual, and all floppy discs plus more. I haven't checked them all out yet.

That's a 25 mhz '030 overclocked to 28, with a 50 mhz FPU. Seems like a rendering setup. Nice machine though.

The kickstart was probably initially jumpered cause upon upgrading they thought it had to be done as on rev 4 motherboards. But it probably didn't work that way since it was a rev 6 mobo, so they cut the jumper.

Desiv and Alen,

Yes, the 68030 should be zippy, but I will be taking my other 2000, and switching everything to it. My other 2000 has a 68060 clocked at 50 mhz, and is a 6.2 rev motherboard, and (as far as I know) a working floppy!

This 2000 with the Toaster was used to make commercials in the 90's, according to the former owner. Makes sense.

(Of course, it will feel like a Vic-20 when you've used the 060) ;-)

I had a VIC 20, for one day. I figured out quickly that the VIC-20 wasn't a C=64 with less ram, and I also found out that a cassette drive was useless!
