Can only edited the game list and links it seems. Maybe I need to login to do that. Maybe it should be edited to say Mad Professor Mariarti instead.

Actually, my sentence meant, in other words, "ah, if that is a F, it sure is stylized", meaning that the artist went a bit crazy on making such a letter if that is indeed a F.
I see a Y-mirrored F rather than anything else. But it may depend on how you draw hand-written capital letters. Is it something that vary from country to country? If it was not for the line in the middle of the letter, I could indeed see something close to one of the ways of writing a capital T that I know of. Oh, and Steve, nice technique to increase your post count |

Thanks Steve. Now the fun part will be to find which games are credited to Matt the musician while they should be credited to Matt the non-musician.
Hopefully, with the exception of Mad Professor Mariarti, one can suppose that if the credits are for something else than music/SFX, the non-musician Matt should be credited. |

Maybe Patrick is right and the non-musician Furniss spells his given name with only one 't'. That's how Patrick spelled it in his mail Steve kindly quoted for us. |

Unlikely I guess judging from:
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/matt-furniss/2/649/74b Matt Furniss at EA. I guess that's him. Anyone with a LinkedIn account and willing to contact him? |

Well, the box/manual credits say Matt and the ingame credits Matthew. I think it should be Matthew Furniss to distinguish the two.

Well, check Iron Hand: http://hol.abime.net/5000
2 John Smiths, too. Would not be a problem to have Matt Furniss [1] and Matt Furniss [2] in HOL. Thanks everybody! I'm a little ambitious person and I always like it if HOL is the first to have this correct! :P Please do not forget since (just!) a few years we can do artist biographies. So we can do two independent artists' notes now. Coolish!! But soon a certain site called something like MelonAgima will follow [edit] This has been done: http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?find=furniss BUT: Apart from Legacy of Sorasil, the graphic artist Furniss [II] does not seem to have worked on any other Amiga game! Yes, I went thru them all 60 to be sure. It would really be a good idea to ask Furniss [II] what other Amiga games he worked on! Maybe even some that were never released? I see you have already done the split. [edit: well, you edited when I was reading/replying]
Two things: - May I suggest that you sort out the use of "working/worked" for Matt [II] on both descriptions. - You should also update the credits for http://hol.abime.net/2373 (cf. interview) Regarding Matt Furniss [II] he seems to have worked on other platforms at that time, for instance: http://www.mobygames.com/game/atari-st/space-crusade I agree with you that it would be very useful to have one or both Matts confirming or not the games they are credited for. I'll take care of the mobygames entries for both of them (I will have fun trying to explain and sum up all the stuff to the moby approvers ) but I prefer to have as much details and confirmations as possible before to be sure, as I would like to avoid Wikipedian-like stuff to happen. - "Mariarti" was already updated as you wrote.
- Now it's "worked" in both descriptions. Added the fact that he didn't quit at EA Thanks for the good eyes. Should be fine now. Quote:

Good job.
There is a small and not really important problem though, although not sure if that is under your control or not. When you check http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?...&detail=artist, the link to M.F. II is listed first, which seems a bit illogical. [Edit: checked the John Smith page and it seems to behave the same way] Regarding HOL, of course I do think it is very well done and trustworthy. Still, since both M.F. have been in the gaming industry for a long time, their works span a variety of platforms and as a consequence, having one (or the two) of them confirming what he has worked on would be the best solution, instead of going for: IF music THEN credit = M.F. I, IF graphic AND game <> Mad Professor Mariarti THEN credit = M.F. II (although given all the elements in this thread, it is very likely to be that way). |

Please direct this inquiry to RCK, because he's the database man.
I could of course swap them both and "fix" the sorting issue, but for me it's also an importance thing: have a [II] for an artist who worked in 99% of the 60 games? That would be odd. Yet I do agree that they should be sorted correctly. |

Can we change the numbers please?
I think it looks really stupid with these numbers in brackets after the name. Can we not instead do something like:
Matt Furniss (musician) Matt Furniss (gfx artist) which would make it far more obvious which is which and not treat the guys as numbers? I got this email from Matt the graphics artist the other day: Quote:
