I am struggling.

Hello, my friend, RetroPie uses the excellent Amiberry emulator, afaik.

I use FS UAE in Raspbian as a standalone.

Sorry, I wrote this in desperation and failed to provide all of the info.

I have built a Desktop Acrdade Machine using the hardware from an old PC (ASUS Mobo - AMD CPU). The OS is Linux Mint and on that I have installed RetroPie.
Can't use Amiberry as it is not compatible with non Arm (x86) CPUs.

I posted the question on the RetroPie Forums and was advised that fs-uae (which is available in the experimental packages of RetroPie) was the best Amiga Emulator.

The problem is there is little or no documentation advising how to set it up for use via RetroPie?

I may set it up separately (outside of RetroPie) as there are a couple of guides, like [ Show youtube player ] for example. Or use one of the other RetroPie Amiga Emulators such as lr-puae?

I will also try RetroPie and Amiberry on my Raspberry Pi as it seems to be a good emulator?

I don't know about Linux mint, but I have tried FSUAE (as standalone, of course) on two Ubuntu computers and it worked beautifully.

I definitely recommend you try out Amiberry on your raspberry!

Do you know of a guide on installing fs-uae on Ubuntu? Linux Mint is basically the same I believe.

If you are using FS-UAE without FS-UAE Launcher, then you need to create config files (or start FS-UAE with corresponding options as parameters.

Have you read https://fs-uae.net/docs/getting-started ?

Easy peasy, you type
sudo apt-get install fs-uae
on the terminal.

Cheers!
