I finally won a tracking competition!! tune inside!
Got back from the Sundown Demo party yesterday, was a wicked event and met loads of cool people.
I thought as it's been so many years since I'd been to a demo party that I'd enter the Old School Music competition. I ended up in the situation of only having written 1 pattern of the basic idea of the tune before I had to leave for the party, so took my A1200 down with me and finished the tune there. Its been something like 15 years since I wrote a pro-tracker module! Was wicked fun and to top of the whole weekend, I won the competition. Anyway, I figured there are some lovers of tracker modules here so thought I would upload it. I've also added an MP3 version link which will be alive for a another few days. https://rcpt.yousendit.com/941139671...c34223ef03128c |

Well done h0ffman!
I would have loved to go to the Sundown party but unfortunately didn't have the time. Glad you enjoyed yourself and congratulations on the win! EDIT: The tune is cool. Last edited by pmc; 06 September 2010 at 12:00. Reason: After listening... |

Nice one Ian, good to hear a 'real' tune as opposed to that drum and bass nonsense!

Excellent, like that! Not yet downloaded the mod, but the MP3 version is damn fine and I can't quite believe it's a tracked tune! Nice work.

Cheers for the comments guys, glad people are liking it. Now all I need is a good coder and some graphic artists so I can start a group.. HA!
The competition was actually a massive Amiga win too as there was only one other pro-tracker modules in the category and the rest were all Impulse / Fast Tracker tunes which were using upwards of 12 channels! |

I just checked this out and was blown away. There's some admirable skill involved there.
Congratulations on the win BTW! |
