Blizzard 1230 III

This board can take a maximum of 32mb 72 pin memory.

What i need to know is this :

single sided or double sided ?

parity or non parity ?

EDO or non EDO ?

AFAIK,

Single sided fits better.

Parity or non-parity doesn't matter as it will ignore the 9th bit.

EDO or non-EDO, but you won't get any of EDOs benefits.

So, get whatever is cheapest.

I too say go with what it cheapest, here's a place I've dealt with before and had excellent service from them:

They are running a special on 32MB EDO, even cheaper then the FPM type

Well the problem is that there are both low and high density chip version of SIMM/DIMM's on the market. Since we're talking much older technology, it most likely uses only the older low density type. However most of what is available is still the low density type

Ok....i received the memory today, but when i put it in
my accellerator card,it reported it as 3.5mb instead of
32mb.

Is that because it is a higher density chip ?

Do i need lower density instead ?

Your blizzard did not "like" the ram and you'll need to try many different ram modules to find a suitable one

Here are my experiences with a blizzard 1230-IV
