Cool Alder's Blood --- stealth tactical game

https://store.steampowered.com/app/820020/Alders_Blood/

Quote:
Alder's Blood is a tactical-strategy with stealth-based combat, RPG elements, crafting, resources gathering and management, exploration and rich storyline. Set in a grim world, where mankind killed their God and is facing extinction.
You can check the feel of the game in it's free prologue/prequel/demo here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1...lood_Prologue/
It's only 2 missions and 20 achievements long, but has it's charm that cought my attention.

Full game currently on sale at GamersGate.UK for 8.13 GBP

It looks a little... depressing. I'm not sure I would be able to play such a game for an extended period of time.

Yes, it's the opposite of current XCOM games full of rainbows and unicorns, that goes for gameplay too, you either go stealth or die in a single turn.

From what I remember, gimbal does not like turn based strategy game, even when they have RPG elements...

Looks interesting, thanks for sharing Shoonay.

I do like turn based strategy games, or else I wouldn't be sinking hundreds of hours into Civilization

I don't like tactical RPGs though. But stylistically I've learned that I can't really stomach the games that take doom & gloom to the extreme. I recently tried out Blasphemous for example and although it looks and plays pretty slick... the game just sucks the life out of me. I'll go for the sunshine and rainbows I guess.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for the RPG part in Alder's Blood, there's not much to it.
The stealth element is what clicked for me, but the game's very unpolished and low budget
That's why there's that simple demo from the perspective of a simple guy unaware of the situation, in the full game you play as the hunters, much much powerful but still glass cannons if they get cought.

Sorry, my bad.

So hopefully they add rainbow unicorns in next update...
