An EAB SWOS tournament/friendlies?

What do you say on some funny small tournaments, cups in swos? I know most of the people on swos online site are real swos freaks (saw some videos, you DONT want to play with them ) and if you play swos occasionaly this tournament would be real fun for everybody.
All we need to do is just to download swos 96/97+kaillera (all in one file) and install it, thats all.
Or we can play only friendlies.
There can be plenty of tournaments, for more experienced players, for less experienced players, saturday or sunday tournaments etc, not only one league like eab/lemon league. Its up to us.
So?

Sorry, not interested at all.
I never understood SWOS, enjoyed a bit of the management mode but that's it.
Always was a Retee 2 fan, with those huge players on screen, and ball sticking to their legs, and different view modes.

The biggest downside is that only 2 people can play together, the fun of online multiplayer imho starts at ~4 people together

This deserves a bigger audience

I think this would be great, we could easily have a small, casual league - i.e. if we had say 10 players, we could play each other twice like a proper league and have a league table. Wouldn't have to be a time scale, just arrange a game with your opponents whenever you can. I think it would be fun.

If it is possible on Amiga then count me in. But as far as I know, it is not...

Why do you think it's not possible? It's feasible - perhaps a bit tricky to organise with regards to arranging when to play matches, but it can be done. I was thinking that after every match a screenshot could be posted of the score and someone (maybe I'd be the sucker to do it, who knows ) could keep a league table (or whatever) updated in a thread somewhere.

have fun getting kaillera running reliably around the world!

if i can get it to play ok by dualbooting into XP, i'd join in.

However, anyone really interested in this should just go over to www.sensiblesoccer.de and play friendlies there, since there are a lot more people involved there!

Aaah, another regular thread made by me

I mean the same, small league just for fun (if you want to become pro, join official swos online site).

And I dont think screenshots are needed, we trust each other, dont we?

Anteaters League is about to start, all we need is someone wha wanna play

In that way - yes, it is possible but I think the thread is about SWOS online (the poll says so). It is also stated in the description. Correct me if I am wrong.

ditto... i would like to play it!

such a pity kaillera is so old and unpractical... i would like a irc-like (but cool) interface always on screen along with the game window. and an air conditioner that requires the windows to be open to work

Just realised I never gave this a reply (I must have read it, made a mental note to go back and reply later and then promptly forgot about it). How rude of me...

I'm pretty sure Sensi meant it the way I described it

Worth the wait eh?

Having said that Marco's comment about Kaillera probably rings true. Shame we don't have anything more up-to-date really. But I'd still be willing to try this if there is enough interest - the only problem is my laptop is away for repair so will be without the internet at home for a while (so if anyone's been wondering why I've disappeared in the evenings there's your answer).

I think mailman was asking if it was possible to join in with a Real Amiga (tm) rather than using winuae.

to which the answer would be 'no'.
