I did play this a few weeks back... I can only get to 256!

It is great though and a very well done version... it's a game I will fire up a lot in the odd 'quiet' moment I suspect

After weeks of trying (having a couple of goes each day) I have finally done it! I have reached the elusive 4096 tile - see images below. After reaching the magical tile I decided to carry on to see how much further I could get and managed to score over 62,000 points

Awesome, now try and get 8192 because I've not managed it yet, not even on my phone version!

So the 8192 tile is in there?

Its definitely possible, but only if all the tiles are placed in the favour of the player. Seeing how long it took me to get th 4096 tile, it might be a year or more before getting to the 8192 tile!

Yup, it is certainly theoretically possible to get it and this video claims to have done it (it doesn't show how he got to tile 32768):

[ Show youtube player ]

Back in October, one day after reaching tile 4096 for the first time, I decided to create a video of your game showing how to get to tile 2048... and managed to get to tile 4096 again!!!
During the editing process I cut out my thinking time and added music (part 1 has Coagulus' music, parts 2 and 3 have music by Kevin MacLeod - from www.Incompetech.com), as well as subtitles and my logo. Due to my 10 minute limit per video on YT, I had to split it into 3 parts:

Part 1 - [ Show youtube player ]

Part 2 - [ Show youtube player ]

Part 3 - [ Show youtube player ]

... and for those that want to see all 40 minutes in full (no editing and no music) I have uploaded the raw .avi file to my website:

http://www.aliensrcooluk.com/public/...6-Unedited.avi

(I thought someone had previously created a video of your game, but I can't find it - was I dreaming?)

I thought I'd seen one too but if not, first video goes to you.

PS although not on my version, I finally got 8192 on my phone!

Hi Coagulus. I also played it much more recently, really nice game, go to 1024 first go and had about 3 goes at it, using diff strategies.

Not to take anything away from your version, its great, but when you were originally creating this game, did you ever know or see any other 4096 games for Amiga. i would like to see and try any others that exist. As you might imagine, searching for "4096 Game Amiga" comes up with lots of websites about HAM modes I'll go check Lemon, HOL and Aminet of course. Cheers.

Glad you've enjoyed it. You can click the logo before starting the game to go to either 2048 or 4096 mode.

There is another 2048 version for the Amiga.
