Roadshow Amiga

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with Roadshow. No matter what I do it does not work.

I'm using a vampired A600 with a PCMCIA card. The card works fine and is WPA2 capable I know this as it works on my a1200 but thats configured with Miami.

I'm running coffin r63 os, and the network options are a bit confusing and all options seem to do the same thing. Network setup asks me to add SSID and KEY which I do I can see this has worked if I look in wifi prefs, changing stack seems to do the same as the network setup other than first asking if you want roadshow or Amitcp first, still no dice. Installing PRism2v2 takes you through the ssid and key again but again nothing.

Everyone says roadshow is easy to setup but no matter what I do it doesnt connect. I've tried network wizard. I've temporarily changed to AMitcp and back again I've uninstalled roadshow and reinstalled it, downloaded Prism2v2 drivers. Added cardpatch and card reset to C: and the relevant lines in the startup sequence. No matter what I do it does not connect.

When I switch on I get one light on the card, then the other light flashes. Sometimes I get 2 solid lights but its still not online other times the second LED just blinks forever.

Its driving me mad, its only a demo version but I'm not paying for it until it works

Paul

I've fixed it. Seems like the inbuilt network config tool doesnt save the changes to the right place for some reason. I dowloaded roadie and configured it in there instead and its working!!!!

Glad you've got it working, Roadshow is the fastest of the lot and still under development, well worth its money.

If you are a fan of Roadshow as I am, then I recommend reading Club Amiga Monthly - Issue #9 where Olaf talks about how Roadshow began over the Christmas 2000 holiday. Great article.

After thinking id got it sorted started having issues again yesterday. Roadie didnt seem to be helping either. I think theres something wrong with the coffin network wizard and it keeps somehow overwriting settings. One minute it connects fine the next its says no gateway set or no route. Spent about 2 hours last night removing everything i had done and reinstalled roadshow and prism2v2. Ran through the installation manually creating the prism2 info files. Still not working. I have given up and installed miami its fast enough and connects everytime.
