Writing ADFs PC to Amiga using Parallel cable with USB to Parallel Adapter

I came across the setup below being sold on Ebay which allows you to write .ADF files between PC and Amiga.

I have a laptop so obviously it does not come with a parallel connection. A quick search on Ebay found me a USB to Parallel adapter. Will this work when used with the above item to write Amiga .adfs?

Thanks!

Probably some guy profiteering from ADTWin: http://m1web.de/ADTWin/

Sadly, no, it won't work.

Excerpt from the original website:
Quote:
First of all, you need a PC with a parallel port. It can either be a native parallel port (but today's mainboards often don't have one) or a parallel port provided by a PCI card. A USB to parallel port converter, however, is not suitable.
