Hey Steve,

How on Earth did you get that machine looking so clean?

Don't tell me you've got an ultrasonic bath tucked away in your spare room too?

TLC...

Just stripped down and cleaned the case, mobo was lovely and clean to start with. FDD has been in a box for 8-10 years it stopped reading disks in about 2001 so I put it in a box. (Its the one from my original A1200!)

When I needed a spare FDD recently I got it out and clean the heads, hey presto like new! A603 is new from Amigakit, arrived today

Also, I don't let Dust anywhere near my kit!!!

Lovely

By the way, I think the fan is held on with hot glue - worth checking! I can't believe you've got it seated wonderfully first time, as the sodding thing kept popping off. I did slightly shape one corner to clear an SMD resistor, so perhaps your mobo isn't quite the same? Good to see it working

Thanks mate! Its the same A600 I had the Apollo630 in and was mostly ok with that but I find yours fits better. I was a little surprised to find it work first time and haven't had to move it since.

Hot glue you say I'll check that out...

Otherwise she's workin' a treat. And to be honest with the ECS chipset I'm not seeing much of a speed difference in workbench compared to the 630 I honestly feel happier with this then I was with the 630

The 630 always seemed a waste in the ECS machine and I was always worried about breaking it becuase I paid so much for it, feared turning it on.

I don't get that feeling with this card
