paranoimia intro - first version

you probably remember this one, which is often just referred to as the 'paranoimia intro', mainly because of the fantastic piece of music created by tsm aka enzo cage.

[ Show youtube player ]

now, i was wondering, which intro came first to introduce this very tune. over at janeway's, you can find this extensive list (btw, wished one could sort by columns>year, yeah!).

though it is always this kind of intro that springs to my mind instantly, when listening to that tune, there is at least one other, earlier intro, according to the list.

so, should the 'paranoimia intro' be renamed, after all

I dont know which was the first intro to use that music. but I know where it was taken by all those who used it.
From a compilation made by him in 1988 with some test-songs to present his suntronic sound system.

http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=3614

The number 1 is the paranoimia/defjam famous tune.

hi estrayk,

oh that's great, thank you for that.

regarding the diverse intros - it is quite interresting to see, what kind of pictures actually seem to be haunting the minds of people, remembering that tune

speaking for me, i definitely reach for this one:

on the other hand, quite a lot of people (even enzo) seem to associate this later outfit:

while this one, at least, could be the true suspect:

Rotations are precalculated, they aren't done in realtime.

This is weird, because you're right, but the original format was SUNTRONIC.
http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=74151

I thought that all SUN tunes was composed by him (TSM)"Felix Schmidt"

seems I was wrong:

(Steven W. Green?)

hm, there exists a suntronic package said to contain all 214 titles by tsm for download: http://www.enzocage.de/?p=463

the 'pseudo oops.sun / sleeping gods lie' title is also part of that collection, called kompo.pc.

this is part of the header of that file

Code:
NuDELIRIUM >$VER: SunTronic music module V1.3 (13 Oct 96)
SunTronic replay routine by Holger Benl,
music composed by Felix Schmidt,
adapted by Delirium
still puzzling

99% sure the first intro to use the tune was the Paralamia one.
