Joystick on WinUAE on PC - advice
Hi All,
I have recently found the program PPjoy that states it is possible to mount an Amiga Joystick on the PC. A few years back I seeked high and low and managed to buy up a large crate of brand-new Python Quickshot Joysticks (>20) - I prefer these to play Sensi with. Investing for the future ! Glad I did it !! I have installed the latest WinUae and CANNOT get to grips with Sensi on an analogue joystick .. Does anyone have actual experience of using PPjoy and creating the interface for an Amiga Joystick ? Would be FANTASTIC to run Sensi with one of my Pythons on my DELL X300 Laptop ALSO ... If it worked I could use my dongle for Tornado3D ... and give it a go using the Picasso emulation instead of my old 16 colour workbench |

See my thread elsewhere on EAB about using this device. I had a few problems using it but its seems it was an incompatiable port. I await a new PC to test it.

You will need an old Amiga 4 player adapter (The one that plugs into the parallel port). Plug that into your PC parallel port, then plug your python into that, setup PPJoy and it can be used in WinUAE |

Thanks all !
SUPERB.
OK ... I'll start to find a way to create one of those Amiga 4 player adapters. I think I downloaded the circuit diagram for it. Then let you know. bippym: Did you use the adapter or make one ? Peanutuk: I'll try and find it .. Sune Salminen: Mmmm ... don't want to risk my Laptop - but that might be an option. Thanks again |

AH ! I see your post Peanutuk.
I too am using the latest version of Windows XP Professional. I also have my older laptop running Win 98. I'll try and build one of those adapters and give it a go. I'll check my bios also for SPP mode ... Thanks |
