If you select oldtimer mode and just goes back to the main menu without starting a new game it randomly crashes with Exception "Illegal Instruction" ($10)
at $6D44 occured
.
I have attached the WHDLoad 16.9 coredump just in case.
Btw is there a way to fix the corrupted graphics at the 2nd boss?

As you can see the rockets freeze on screen, this is not a slave problem as this happens in all adf and ipf versions too.
Just wondering if it's fixable somehow.

This seems to be emulator problems, looks fine on a real machine.

Maybe a bad crack. Looks fine here on my A1200, WHDLoad installed.

btw: You can remember this garbled graphics 15 years ago? Are you an elephant or something?

You need to position your ship in the same spot as shown on the screenshot, then you'll see it does that.
It happened on all the Amigas I played it on.
Also it can't be related to any crack issues as it was an original game.
I got the disks replaced directly from Team17 because the first version I bought crashed on level 3, that turned out to be an issue with only having 512kb chip ram as it worked fine with 1mb chip or more.

This game is to me as what I guess Captive is for Bippy.

Btw with the SPS #886 images I get different size on two files.
LV3C - 113570
LV3F - 395884
I assume that's normal right ?

So you were Beta tester for Team17?

I guess you have to live with that graphic issue.

Strange, even the music is garbled for 1-2 seconds, before this last level starts. Anyway, it's fully playable here.

Please disregard that, I needed a cycle exact config, which also fixed another problem with the bonus levels.

Is it possible to disable weapon select using the joystick ?
Sometimes when things get a little hectic and you have to make some quick manoevring wiggling the joystick, it select whatever weapon is highlighted.
One too many times have I suddenly selected Guns by accident when my Plasma shots was fully upgraded.
Again this have nothing to do with the slave as this is a (terrible) feature in the game.
Anyway, this slave seems perfect, I've not encountered any problems whatsoever.

I've come across this issue on quite a few occations when playing. A real pain in the butt and very frustrating

As you say though, it's not really a problem with the slave but the actual game itself.
