amiga forever and aiab

Hello,
I'm new to the Amiga emulation scene. I purchased Amiga Forever online edition. I'm assuming that Amiga Forever is 3.9. What files would I have to copy over to Aiab and amiga sys from Amiga forever to make them all 3.9? Now I'm thinking that my aiab and amigasys are using 3.1. Like I said, I'm new to the amiga scene so I'm just getting started. Thanks.

hi and welcome PurEvil,

for AIAB you don't need your Amiga Forever CD, it uses the workbench replacement called scalos. All needed files are in the AIAB package, but you should have a copy of a WB 3.0 or 3.1 disc handy.

for Amiga SYS you also need a WB disc, but after installing that you can upgrade with your Amiga Forever CD. You may wait for Amiga SYS 3, the release is announced for the half of december.

What about to try AmiKit meanwhile? It supports your AmigaForever2005!

I second that.... impressed.

I've 'borrowed' quite a few bits for my own install.

There are lots of other pre-built installs about. Each has their pro's + con's. Most use 3.1 - at least for starters.
