A way to remap those 4 player adapters so that they can be used in ordinary games?
Hi, I currently have an Amiga that has been terribly butchered (not by me). It has its joyport literally cut. The cia is working good, but I have no way to use joysticks with it.
Is there a way to remap those 4 player adapters so that I can use the joystick on common games despite having no joyport? |

I don't think so, as the games are generally hardcoded to access a specific gameport. You are probably stuck playing only games that explicitly support the 4-way adapter. :-( Eg. Gauntlet 2, Worm Wars, etc.

Hey Gulliver mate
Why don't you just find the Joy traces and solder some wires to an DB9 connector to put in the original place instead? As Minuous said, it's not possible to use a 4-way adapter as normal as the games that supported it had the code inside to use it. |

Thank you both for your answers
I will have to resort to soldering traces. I suck at it |
