Only the GUI runs a few seconds until it "crashes".

In which folder in the Zone i can find the new 060 Version?

In the afternoon i will try the new 030 Version with my other A1200 (Blizzard 1230 + 3.9).

Uh oh! While former 030 version still works OK as I described before, this last one crashes mercylessly with a guru number that seems to be either 80000003 or 8000000B the very second I move the mouse in the launcher (no sooner then that! ^_^') both on WB 3.1 and 3.9.

Yes, the latest 030 version (v1.2.0) crashes with gurus, I use former v1.1.1, which seems stable

Hiya,

Not sure of the problem with the 1.2 build, best to use 1.1.1 instead.

Just ask someone to upload it to the Zone for you (I don't have a copy anymore).

I don't have a real Amiga to test the builds on yet so I only have WinUAE which sometimes behaves differently.

Thats cause there is only an AGA, and RTG version.
I don't think nova has done a ECS one. If he does it may require an indivision ECS tho.

Hiya,

Yep Oliver will be doing the Indivision ECS version but he's going to have to wait until I can get the release stable before he does the conversion.

Ok version 1.3.0 for 030 (sans FPU) is also in the Zone for testing.

What I want to know is:

a) does it work
b) how does it compare to version 1.1.1

Thanks

OK! There it goes:

-Yup, It does work! It doesn't crash just right after making the slightest movement with the mouse any more.

-It runs noticeably slower. Not to the extent to make games unplayable, but you can perceive the difference in my 50 Mhz 68030.

-And now, letting audio settings at default in the launcher... Midi music works! eer, sort of, I mean, It actually crawls and games are actually unplayable, but that's a progress from 1.1.1, which just dropped dead with a gray screen.

-As I said, using "No music" games run a bit slower than 1.1.1, but still smooth and nice. PC speaker emulation is also jerkier than 1.1.1, but works.

-I'm not sure I can play with audio options from the tooltypes (lowering callback rate) as before, they are no longer there.

This is all in my A1200 with Blizzard MKIV 50 Mhz + FPU 64 MB fast RAM and KS 3.1 and WB 3.1. Booting from my 3.9 partition offers exactly the same results.

And, of course, thaaaaanks again for all your work on ScumVM!!!

ok thanks for that, i thought it would be slower but at least the sucker is stable now.

Yep all those audio tooltypes have been removed because that was for my own Audio code, now it's just using the SDL (same as the RTG port). The reason it's slower is because I've turned off the compiler optimizer which were causing the builds to be unstable.

i'll work on some faster versions when i have a real amiga to test it on!

Ok, I'm now uploading version 1.4 to AmiNet (which is version 1.3 + support for AGI, AGOS and Sky).

I'll also upload a new 040 and 060 version which will be also be slower but stable.

Good news. I´ll it works now on my A1200.

Question: How much FastRam is necessary for ScummVM?

Cool, glad to hear it

Buggered if I know how much FASTRAM it needs, it probably depends on the game....something like Full Throttle, The Dig or Simon the Sorcerer 2 would take the most.

How fast is the 060 version Foxman, does it play something like DOTT ok with music (sample rate at 12k)?
