Dark Obsession

I've just started playing this game. It's a (quite obscure) horror text adventure where you play the part of a cheated and mentally unstable husband who slowly becomes convinced that his wife and her lover want to kill him. It look like an interesting adventure and I'd like to get to the end of the story...

...but I already stuck in the first half: my car broke down on the side of the road and I couldn't repair it and cannot find spare money to pay for the bus, either. Could anyone offer a solution? Or even better, guide me toward a walkthrough of the game? (I couldn't find it anywhere on the net.)

We got stuck at the same point of the game. Have you managed to find out how to proceed?

Yeah it looks very interesting indeed. I just started playing it 2 hours ago myself...

Bolch - Go to the bus-stop sign (where it says the sign is faded but you think it says bus-stop). You will notice some debris there. Examine the debris. You should find two cans of soda. Take them to the grocery store. He will give you a dime and you can use it to pay for the bus. If you haven't already, 'hit' the phone for some quarters and nickels. I didn't get those to show in my inventory but thought I'd mention it. You'll need the crowbar which can be found in the trunk of your car.

I got stuck myself shortly after this

By the way, if my instructions aren't clear enough or are slightly off, please let me know. I can restart the game and recheck the details. Good luck!

I have proceeded until the restaurant. I don't know what to do after giving money to the maitre. The only working command was "use whip" which got me arrested and ended the game with a nice GAME OVER.

I managed to contact the author of the game. He found the source for the game so he could give me some help.
He says that you must search the shelf in the closet in the apartment in order to get an envelope with a photo inside (the photo of the boyfriend of your wife).
Then in the parking lot you have to search for the corvette that is in the photo and unlock the car with the coat hanger.
I haven't tried to do that, for now.
