AWeb Software Failure
Hello, I am able to start the TCP IP stack correctly (AmiTCP).
But when I try to visit whatevere site using AWeb, I got the error below: Any hint? Are there any web browser I can use on a classic system (a plain A1200)? |

I believe the AWeb plugins use floating point. You can try going to Settings->Browser in the menu, click on Viewers and then scroll down the list of MIME types changing any "Action" field with "AWeb Plugin" to "Default". Your installed datatypes should be used for pictures then. There is a 68000 compiled version of AWeb on Aminet if you still can't get it going but it would be slower: http://aminet.net/comm/www/AWeb-3.5.09-68000.lha You may need to delete your settings in ENVARC: before installing the 68000 version or you may have the same problem. Maybe it would work to delete this settings file to get the image viewers using the default datatypes for the 68020 version of AWeb as well. Last edited by matthey; 08 June 2014 at 20:27. |

There is an AWeb for 68020 without FPU here, also it is a more recent version than the one on Aminet:

That archive doesn't have an install script unfortunately. I suggest using the install script from a closely related version (eg. the Aminet version).
