I just tried to read the Stephanie GAL (22V10). It has the security fuse set. So basically, you would have to reverse engineer this GAL. A good job for a logic analyzer. If some one has a very early rev or prototype PicassoII board maybe those GAL's can be read.

Send a message via ICQ to Duke
It might be possible to read them using this device: http://cgfm2.emuviews.com/elec/pal.php

I don't see 22V10 support listed there though.

I saw this device a few weeks ago and it would probably work with a 22V10. The problem is that is not yet able to handle a PAL/GAL with registered outputs. If you can be certain the device was programmed for combinational logic only then it would work.

However, for a combinational logic PAL/GAL I made a simple test device with a small PCB, DIP socket, 2.2K Resistor-Paks, DIP switches and used a DMM to determine the output states with a given set of inputs.

@Magic:

Yes, that could certainly help a lot! The next thing to do is to program some GAL's and see if they be can used as plug in replacements on the PicassoII.

Thanks Magic, your absolutely awesome for finding this needle in a German haystack!!!

Ask Tobias Seiler (aka MastaTabs). He worked for VillageTronic and has all their Amiga stuff from back then.
