WB/WinUAE

Hi all.
I have created a virtual hard disk using WinUAE and i have installed the WB 3.1 OS.
Then, following this procedure (http://guide.abime.net/home3.htm) i have installed :

Installer-43_3.lha/Picasso96/ClassAct/NewIcons46

But i have a few problems.

1 Everytime i start the emulation an error-message appears:
"The installed Libs:Picasso96/rtg.library (40.3993) should be updated.A newer version is included in the "Amiga Programs" directory
of the WinUAE distribution archive.
Newer library version fixes graphics problems and increases performance."

2 The hard disk has 'read/write' mode enabled, but seems that the hdd is only 'read' mode.

Is there a possibility to improve the look?(Wallpaper, Icons etc)

Any help really much appreciated

1- just do what it tells you: copy rtg.library from WinUAE's Amiga Programs directory into Libs/Picasso96 of your HDF.

2- there could be several reasons why file appear to be write protected:
- you copied files from a CD while the CD was added to WinUAE as a Windows directory. Do not do this. Install an Amiga CD driver and use it instead (AmiCDFS for example). Enter protect sys:#? +wd all to cure it now.
- do not put Amiga files into C:\Program Files on Vista or Win7. Only winuae.exe should be there. Use C:\Users\Public\Documents\Amiga Files for everything else.
- the HDF is marked as read-only in Windows Explorer. Use file properties to remove the R bit.

3- run Prefs/WBPattern and select your preferred picture. You might need to install an additional datatype class to use jpeg pictures: http://aminet.net/search?query=jpeg+dt

Have you installed the complete installation of Picasso96 to your WB3.1 HDF? You need to do that first before you can copy over the new rtg.library from "Amiga Programs".

If you have done so, the new rtg.library shall be copied to the LIBS:Picasso96 drawer.

Link to the ShareWare version of Picasso96 2.0 on Aminet; http://aminet.net/package/driver/video/Picasso96
