K240: Using WinUAE debugger to find cheat codes
Out of curiosity I'm looking for undiscovered cheat codes in old games. I've examined K240 save states and WinUAE debugger but the known cheat codes aren't to be found in plaintext. Some questions:
1. Can WinUAE debugger watch instructions or an area of memory in real-time, as with Visual Boy Advance? 2. Can anyone think of another way to find codes or game secrets? 3. Is the version of K240 on the Best of Gremlin CD different to the regular one? 4. Does anyone know any interesting secrets to this game? Are there any developers on this board who worked on K240? Thanks, |

If anyone's interested, I did some digging with a disassembler, and found the area where the K240 cheat codes are stored. Unfortunately, there are only the twelve codes already known.
An example of how the codes are stored: Code:
LAB_0B92: ; SKYSCRAPER DC.L $21271521,$33132019 ;1d41e DC.W $1213 DC.B $44 |
