thanks, but Simons Basic was for the C64 only. there was no amiga version.
SamBasic must be something else.

#1) just saw on Simons Basic website: Publisher D.S. Software
looks like identical publisher/developer.
maybe one has to read SAM BASIC as: Simons AMiga BASIC

#2) some strings from the runtime binary:
Code:
Warning:File saved with different version of SAM BASIC

JRUN TIME LIBRARY Version 3.1

 1986/1987 DS SOFTWARE LTD
All rights reserved.
found some info about it in Amiga_World_Vol_03_06_1987_Nov.pdf - see image attached.

Not really sure why this disk in "Games\Public Domain - [ADF] (TOSEC-v2015-12-28_CM)" is marked with "[o]" i.e. Over Dump?

... Pod (1992)(Southern, S.)[o].adf [CRC 4C4F0D83]

If you look at the file "1" it's "220448 bytes" in size:

If you take a look at the CU Amiga Coverdisk 41 (September 1992), the crunched file "POD" on disk is "78120 bytes" in size:

If you then however uncrunch this using "xfdDecrunch":

Afterwards you'll see that the file is now the same size as the one in "Pod (1992)(Southern, S.)[o].adf":

So, whats wrong with naming?
Disk image is just oversized!

What's up with "Vital Light" files in TOSEC?

According to HOL there are these versions:

a) Vital Light [ECS/OCS]
b) Vital Light [CD32]

The disk version should be 2 disks but the following "Skid Row" crack is 4 disks:

... Vital Light (1994)(Millennium)(Disk 1 of 4)[cr SR].adf
... Vital Light (1994)(Millennium)(Disk 1 of 4)[cr SR][a].adf
... Vital Light (1994)(Millennium)(Disk 2 of 4)[cr SR].adf
... Vital Light (1994)(Millennium)(Disk 3 of 4)[cr SR][a][bootable].adf
... Vital Light (1994)(Millennium)(Disk 3 of 4)[cr SR][bootable].adf
... Vital Light (1994)(Millennium)(Disk 4 of 4)[cr SR].adf

The intro in this set is animated (just like the screenshots for the CD32 version). I would say this is a CD32 rip so should be renamed accordingly

I am not sure. The main exe file does not match the CD32 version (no use of freeanim.library / lowlevel.library) or disk version
I do not know the origin of this version and it would be interesting to know

Just tried out these disks:

... Pulsar (1997)(Perfection)(PL)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WT].adf [CRC: 1D8096D9]
... Pulsar (1997)(Perfection)(PL)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WT].adf [CRC: 4998345E]

Disk 2 actually has a "Lazzer" trainer on it (well 3 in fact; one for each level)

Basically when loading / playing the game you see the title screen, followed by:

You then very briefly see this:

Followed by the "Lazzer" trainer:

The game does back to DOS and continues loading until you can play Level 1.

So, Disk 2 to be "Pulsar (1997)(Perfection)(PL)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WT][t +1 Lazzer].adf", or would you guys rename the whole set as they are interconnected?

I prefer :
Original => IPF
Otherwise => Standard ADF

But in the meantime, do not worry, it will not be lost

being bored, i had a look at Art Expression 2.04, found out it had a bad file on disk 1, a corrupt font file
on disk 3 and was missing the second fonts disk.

file on disk #1 was visible but not accessibly, so i gave disksalv a go, rescued the file and wrote it to disk #1,
now it is listed twice - but the installer wont abort anymore, while accessing the file (ArtExpressionDict2.04)

found the 2nd fonts disks together with the 1st one in an older art expression release.
both look almost genuine - adf-workshop: "Possible disk altered by doscopy" but everything is green

I run the installer multiple times, all went fine with the set below.
changed the order of the disks, so they now fit the disk requests by the installer.

Art Expression v2.04 (1996)(Soft-Logik Publishing)(Disk 1 of 4)[HD].adf
Art Expression v2.04 (1996)(Soft-Logik Publishing)(Disk 2 of 4)(Fonts1)[HD].adf
Art Expression v2.04 (1996)(Soft-Logik Publishing)(Disk 3 of 4)(Fonts2)[HD].adf
Art Expression v2.04 (1996)(Soft-Logik Publishing)(Disk 4 of 4)(BME)[HD].adf

#1) 2.04 is fake version - see below.

Shouldn't the original dumps just be marked as bad while waiting for someone to dump a better original?

the original set came from those scene bbs iso images, i think.
you can find them several times, allways a set from 3 disks.
i guess noone ever tested the set back in the days. it simply doesnt install successfully.
maybe crashdisk is able to fix the first disk of the current tosec release in a better way.

i dont mind the 4 disk set will be an [a], at least it does work, if someone wants to use this app.

the memory which was rendered inaccessible by the original cartridge.
After the 64 I did a 'SAM BASIC' for the Amiga which was a complete basic
interpreter from scatch though it partially compiled the code and also had a mechanism
for loading (dynamically) extensions. Sam basic could use symbols, though it did still have line numbers.
but still I cannot find a bit of it :/

within Softgallo collection could be the working disk 1!?
Top 5 track identification feature of ADF-workshop gives you a hint of similar disks!

hmm, this one: SoftGallo Team #11820 (Disk 1 of 3) ?
i dont see a disk listed with that CRC above.
#11820 has same problem with visible but not accessible file "ArtExpressionDict2.04"

CRC32 is

ADF-Workshop output:

CRC32 based identification :
Clean disk______*[EEB025AF] Art Expression v2.04 (1996)(Soft-Logik Publishing)(Disk 1 of 3)[HD]

indeed. softgallo A07728A is the real deal. 2.04 is fake,
they just changed version and year in the binary, same size of the binary.
it is 1.04 and the "ArtExpressionDict1.04" is accessible

#1) the installer ask for AEFonts2 - so you can use "Art Expression v2.04 (1996)(Soft-Logik Publishing)(Disk 3 of 4)(Fonts2)[HD].adf"

#1) zoned: Art Expression v1.04 for tosec - 2.04 is fake.zip
i did a test install, order of disks is ok, and no errors.

zoned Lightbox - 2D animation tool
onion skin / light table feature

LightBox v1.05 (1989) (R&DL Productions) (Disk 1 of 2).wrp
LightBox v1.05 (1989) (R&DL Productions) (Disk 2 of 2).wrp

not in tosec - at least not on the ftp.
...added, Crashdisk

#1) bit weird usage. once the program starts you will load a script/project from disk 2.
# keys will resize the pen, P (!?) gives pen a red color.
maybe with red you draw on the next frame, but cannot see how to switch to next frame at all

F2 (!?) enables light table. - some other F-keys will load and save.

does work on a1200 setup, but has some bugs - allways painting, when moving the mouse.
maybe better working on ecs setup.

anyone with the manual?

#2) Review of LightBox in Transactor_for_the_Amiga_Vol_02_04_1989_July
