No I can't shut up. Whatever that runs when pressing the amiga link immediately crashed my win2k system, has probably something to do with the mod music.

Yes , it `s a problem with w2k ...works ok with 98 and xp...
Have you upgraded your media player to 9? or quicktime? Also the site is not optimised for IE, hehe, it`s an Amiga site! Works and tested ok on ibrowse 2.3, Konquerer, opera, mozilla,netscape,aweb,voyager,opera,...(is there any more?) |

you should remove the background music, forcing your user to listen what you want is not a good idea.
moreover, abime.net should in your link page |

The background music only plays on a few pages (that have not been fixed just now) but there is a on/off panel at the bottom left frame...all the pages , have music that loads, are switched off...and doesn`t play at all in amiga browsers...
the music BTW are standard midi files. I sort out the rest of the pages, and make the music panel more prominent. |

Are you sure it's a Win2k issue? It might even be a problem with my system. I'm saying this because I don't believe it can be that easy to crash a machine with a mod plugin.

I`v tested the site with a towered amiga 0S 3.9, OS 3.1, windozes xp and 98(se) , WinUAE, mac , Using all the main browsers.. all ok, and you are the first to mention that it crashed the machine...i`ll look into it...
What browser are you using? do you have any plugins? there should be NO music playing on most sections, (a few pages have to be sorted). but there is the option to turn ON the music...( bottom left corner) ( i`ll reposition the panel) Can you play midi files ok? |
