MAME has a few nice filters for simulating a TV. But nothing beats the real thing (or an arcade monitor ).
Mmh, looks very blurred for me. My Sony TV is much sharper.

Amen

Your arcade monitor already does the cool transparent type of scanlines so there absolutely no need for you to enable them in WinUAE. Totally understand your choice for "no scanlines" as it makes perfect sense

Everbody else who selected "no scanlines"

The correct poll should be called "Scanlines or NO scanlines on a modern PC monitor". So this poll is useless, like the "Best platformer" poll.

Nobody can beat that unless they also actually have one

Even though I have a HotRodSE arcade joystick for use with MAME, I'm so envious... You have no idea

Totally agree, scanlines are not needed when using a real Amiga + Monitor, TV or an Arcade monitor (especially this one)

Well, personally I think they look better in double size, as the pixels becomes clearer... I WANT to see pixels . 320x256 is too small.

You mean in MAME32?

Yeah, they changed them quite some time ago and now they don't look nowhere near as good

No they don't, try Emuloader it's all in there still. A lot less bloated than M32 too.

That too. I do like the various aperture effects in MAME. Shame these can't be used in UAE.

Send a message via ICQ to Duke
You could use MESS to play Amiga games, then you have the aperture effects too. Played Chaos Engine yesterday using it

Hi EAB community!

Although I already posted a few messages, I'm still quite new here in EAB.

About the poll, I'm with DamienD and Retro-Nerd on this one!
That is: yes to scanline on modern PC monitors, no when using a real Amiga + Monitor, TV or an Arcade monitor.

Ciao,
Luca

No corruption needed... lucadip just know's how to best achieve "as close as possible" to the real deal with a PC monitor
