A question about Speedball 2 cd32 rip
A little question.
The cd32 rip can't be played on a standard A1200, we have an error code at the beginning (number 20 but i am not sure) that means "not enougth memory" (correct me if i am wrong). So a very simple question : would it be possible in your opinion to correct that problem and make it work with only 2 Mb of RAM ??? |

I think CD32 also have 2MB RAM so it's not problem with memory. Maybe try to disconnect external drive.

It will work with just a basic 2mb A1200 setup by using a cd32 emu like which comes with squirrel driver, or idefix cd32 emu.

I tried it on my basic A1200 on a floppy (i don't want to install it on my hard drive): 2 mb of ram and it doesn't work, exactly the same message than in winuae with the same config (error code 20 if i don't do mistakes). When i add 512k of ram in winuae it is ok, the game is loading.

The game is too big to load on a single floppy, but it does load fine on a basic 2mb a1200 uae config upto after the intro by just running the game file from floppy.
Edit: The game will run perfectly fine when boting from a virtual HD floppy, but thats not going to help playing from floppy on a real amiga. Adding lowlevel.library was only additional requirement to get game working. There has been no memory problem encountered. Last edited by Mad-Matt; 05 September 2010 at 23:51. |
