Hi,
Just so I can update my website, is it only the 80 and 120W picoPSU that needs something plugged into the 3.5" floppy drive connector? Can any of you provide a detailed photo of the picoPSU on the side without the yellow inductors (large squares)? I only have the 60W model which works perfectly fine for my systems and this is what I validated the design with. |

I think it is a matter of Old model vs. New model. Here is a pic of both.
This is the old model which requires the floppy connector to be attached to the drive directly in order to power up: Here is the new model, where I didn't need to connect to the floppy directly: Both these are connected to the old version of your adapter. I haven't used the new adapters I bought from you a year or more ago. Hope that helps! |

There isn’t a regulator that can output a regulated 12 Volt rail with an input supply of 12 Volts,
so I assume the device just passes the 12 Volt rail straight through, and regulates the other two supplies. With that in mind, I’d pay attention to what the real supply does when you power it up. |
