Well you can't love all games from a company (OR can you? I still haven't tried a Bitmap brothers Game I knew was a BMB game which I didn't like).

I like some games from the Gremlin series. I think I'll just do as was done before and say which like this

Games I liked (From that page (amiga)):
Deflector
Disposable hero
Hero quest
Lotus 2-3
Space crusade

Games I didn't like that much (Also on page) :
K240
Micky mouse
Shadow fighter
Utopia
Zool (Yes I know many people like it. I just thought it got boring)

Another Gremlin game I liked was Impossamole (C64, Amiga version doesn't run right)
And another game I downright hated was their Gremlins 2 (PC)

Very cool site indeed!

I am with Akira, I love Shadow Fighter, I consider it the best BeU for Amiga. And I couldn't never find what was all that hype behind Harlequin

K240 is undoubtly my fav game from them.

And I am glad to see I have all their MSX games in my collection

Cool What happened to Gremlin?

Gremlin was a good company who supported all Commodore machines. For every platform I have my favourites. Like Akira my favourite Gremlin games on Amiga are Zool 2 and Disposable Heroes.
I have missed many games the first time around like Harlequin and Pegasus so I hope will get a second chance to play them as ADF in the near future.

Does anyone know what happened to Gremlin? The last game from them is as far as I remember Slipstream 5000 for PC.
It would be a great idea if someone would put up a site consisting of trees where you can find out which companies were bought up by whom in which year.

I'm currently investigating companies involved with the Amiga, as the mess of different ones makes much more sense.

So, eh, wait for the database!

Well, Tim Janssen, long time ago i have found an very good website with the answear of your question (because i whas searching this infos for all companies that make games for the Spectrum )

This is why i can answear to your question

In fact, Gremlins graphics have changed their name to Gremlin Interactive in 1999.

You can find this information and about thousand others games/companys at this link below:

http://www.if-legends.org/~adventure/

I have a lot of links that need classified (i am allways searching about retro-gaming and hystory about gaming company, how and why this game is created, ect...), and this is why i have take so many time to answear at your question.

i don't know everithing (because i have a bad memory, but i have webpage saved on cd-roms , but it take a lot of time to classified everything)

I think that somebody must do a database with all infos like this before it go forgotten for ever.

Retro gaming and old computer/games history is very important i think like history of the mankind

The link above is very good, and the website is fantastic database about games, companyes, computers, authors , timeline, ect...

All infos can be searched through one of the above option.
Just for example, there is 266 adventure games for the Amiga (with a history line of the Amiga 1985 - 1997)

This is a link that i highly recommand

Arrow Software syndicates

It seems almost every single softwarecompany in Europe goes either up in a giant software syndicate (Cryo, UBI Soft, Eidos or Infogrames) or gets specialised in a game-genre. Those few companies that still remain have specialised in certain genres like Team 17 who seem only to produce updates of Worms and Bullfrog who is specialised in Populous-like games.

What a shame both companies have seemingly done jack shit for some time now. Team 17 haven't bothered to try working on original game projects, and Bullfrog's last serious release happened to be Dungeon Keeper 2 back a couple of years ago.

:)

hehe, nice to see these posts here about Gremlin games, I recently spoke to someone who I've met at the Kick Off 2 tournament. He works for Infogrames and works in the building where Gremlin worked in before. There are still some former Gremlin Amiga developers in that building....
