Maybe you are right, but with Center Court Tennis I loved its learning curve and the way beating better and better players as you progressed felt like a great accomplishment. After that, GC2 felt painfully slow to me.

I really wanted to like the game, but every time I started it, it was always the same: The cpu player served 20 aces in a row with 150 km/h. It's just ridiculously fast and that's quite unrealistic for a tennis game. I guess even a very slow pace (like in On Court Tennis for C64) matches the real sport better and gives you the chance to play the game with some tactics.

Super Tennis Champs looks great and I always wanted to try it, but for me Great Courts 2 was always super good, specially doubles 4 player!

Great Courts 2 4 player mode was indeed good fun, many good memories playing that game with lots of friends!

As for Tennis Cup 1/2 being better, errm, yeah, right. Tennis Cup is much worse compared to Great Courts 2!

I love Advantage Tennis very much, with fast 3d, special shots and atp ranking race.

I saw yesterday nice tennis game for Turbografx which combine arcade with rpg. You don't need high skills as each oponnent is slightly different.

You mean World Court Tennis. Yep, it was pretty good back then. Final Match Tennis (also PC-Engine a few years later) is even better. Still one of the best (oldschool) Tennis games ever.

Funnily the Google translated version of your surname is almost relevant to the topic. For non-French people, Secretin - without g at the end - was a famous French tennis player, well, table tennis more exactly
