Adding a second floppy drive to an A4000D
Hi,
How easy is it to add a second floppy drive to an A4000D? Specifically fitting it underneath the existing floppy drive in the computer. The reason I am asking is because on my A4000D, its a single faceplate for both drive slots and I dont have any A4000 manuals at hand to check for myself. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Mark |

You would just need a dual device floppy cable and second floppy drive configured as DF1:

My 4000 has a Factory Chinon HD 1.44 drive in it and I added another white faced Chinon FZ-357 as DF1: (only 880k though) Worked great and matches the case. Had to mess with the jumpers on the new drive until I got it to work properly, along with a jumper on the MB, but it works great now.
