Zzap! LIVE event 2023

The stars didn't align for me to goto Kickstart, but Zzap event on August 12th I am going to.

A lot of ex-games devs there, so might well leave the Fairlight and Scoopex apparel at home lol

Anyone else going?

this sounds excellent but I sadly wont be going. Zzap64 was quite special back then when a lot of us were around the 14 age and I never missed an episode. A fantastic time and Zzap always had such great articles and interviews and I mostly read every single word other than the adverts

Funny to think that they were only young themselves of course but passionate so that's I guess what got it started. I wonder if the likes of Julian Rignal or Gary Pen will surprise show or maybe they'll dress someone up as Rockford or Thingy

Glad to see TDK will have his 1 hour spot

Hearing from a lot of the devs will be great of course. Yeah shame I can't go

So is there many going to this then? There's 2 threads I've seen on this forum (posted in the other one too) and and noone is talking or getting excited about it...

I can't wait.

Unfortunately, however, the biggest attraction for me was the attendance of Rob Hubbard. He sadly wont be there due to family needs apparently, which I totally understand.

Looking forward to getting a look at the Immortal Joysticks, all the Amiga stuff, and the music and chip tune stuff.

Yeah I went and enjoyed it. Didn’t stop for the evening session.

There was no Zzap talk which was weird. Garry Penn and Steve Jarrett were both there.

My mate got mistaken for Jeff Minter.
