Freely admitting to this being a fully tactical vote but with a couple of firm faves in there.

1. Overkill
2. Stuntcar Racer TNT
3. Alien Breed Tower Assault
4. Stardust
5. Navy Seals

Nothing wrong with tactical voting

Oh and looks like I've been outvoted by the other mods on the Megaball issue...

Traders would probably be okay but I'm really not sure the other three games are at all suitable. Bear in mind also we have to play games in one sitting and from the start every time, and I want to avoid another situation where you have to succeed in your task to be able to post a score (like Dune II last year).
A late reply:

Tower of Babel awards a score after each level depending on how many tries you needed and how many robots survived. But I have to do still some research if reaching tower 3 gives a suitable playing time.

In Millenium 2.2, you encounter various special (grey) messages in the game. These could act as checkpoints, so rating would be determined 1st by checkpoint, 2nd by lowest date at this message. However, completing the game takes at least 9 h, and i am not sure if anyone except me would consider to play it in the competition. If so, i would gather the grey messages and extract a text piece from them so they could be verified but dont give a too strong hint so it would be possible to look how much a player progressed. On the other hand, it is hard to fail completely at that game.

I played Elite 2 a bit and found it now unsuitable for the competition, because i have not managed to survive 3 flights without dying.

So may I change my vote to other games and prepare Tower of Babel and Millenium 2.2 to bring them in a later round again? I dont have the time to prepare that until next round starts.

Still a note: I saw a vote for Lionheart and i cannot imagine a proper rating within that game.

Regards,
Harry.

Yes, of course you can change your vote... which incidentally largolgd will need to do as Lionheart doesn't appear to have a suitable scoring system (thanks for pointing it out, I must have been getting it mixed up with something else).

I have played Frontier before (a while ago) and though a few people have tried to vote for it before I've never really seen a way it can properly work. As for the others I have never played them and I'm not sure the other mods have either - so we will need some convincing for us to permit them.

Sorry, i didn't realize that. Here is my new vote :

Alien Breed Tower Assault
Global Gladiator
The Addams Family
IK+
Cabal

If i undestand all the rules (i'm not sure because it's sometimes hard to translate in french for me), we can't vote for a game that has been played before. But superfrog appears in the seasons 2009 and 2011.
Was it an exception or can we play back a game after x years ?

Regarding Superfrog, it was an Open Round - i.e. any game could be voted for. We've got four of those this year (as opposed to two last season) and the first one is the voting for Round 2 so not long to wait.

I have a question regarding to a playing mode for Prince of Persia.

Would it be ok to play it as follows:
Score is given mainly by your reached level, then by best time at start of that level. To prove this, press space bar to display the time and make a screenshot every level you just enter, and submit then the highest level with the best (highest remaining) time (or when you complete it, submit that time)?

I would have to make a series of screen shots so the moderators know how which level entry looks.

Regards,
Harry.

I wasn't trying to cause any problems, just wanted a nice easy game anyone can play without spending hours memorizing the levels
So my votes count?
