Bloodwych and Extended Levels ADFs
Hey everyone, I'm a massive bloodwych fan, first played it when i was very young, but i have never been able to play the Extended levels. Over the last year or so i have been doing some retrogaming and this is the only remaining game that i need!
I need working .ADF files for Bloodwych and the extended levels, i know they are out there somewhere, please help! |

Welcome to eab!
Please read the FAQ - there are sources for adf games listed there... (hint: Planet Emu has the biggest archive!) |

Who or what is SPS? (sorry if i'm being ignorant)
i have actually found a .DMS version of the extended levels, but as far as i can tell it is useless, i can run it with WinUAE but it doesn't seem to be able to transfer games. |

Software Preservation Society http://www.softpres.org But no requests for SPS images are allowed here. Check your PM in a minute, I explain it there.

Thx very much for all your help people,
The DMS version from classic gaming is broken as far as i can tell : the game always crashes when you transfer you're party (at least on my machine ) and the cracked version has a broken save function (which is fine for playing bloodwych but then you can't play the extended levels.) Managed to get hold of extended levels disk and have tested it, the transfer party works! So.... i guess i have plenty of gaming to do now Thanks again |

Found this post: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=17410 Maybe this version can be included in TOSEC.

Thanks thor, i will supply all classicgaming Bloodwych versions to Tosec. Already renamed them properly...
Problem: how can you save/load? It seems the QTX crack is broken, "save" does not work, nothing happens. I have a (non tosec) Black Monks crack that can save the game but if you load a savegame the game will crash. Same for the SPS, if i do a quickstart and save to an empty disk all seems o.k., but after loading the savegame i get a crash. Is there a special savedisk required? Can someone zone a working savegame for testing? edit: using a custom disk as savedisk in Winuae works, but i would like to know a solution / have a working adf savedisk for real Amigas! Anyone? edit2: i can confirm ThaiChang's findings about the data disks: both version from classicgaming are bad, one uncracked game (guru after choice F9) and the ACC "crack" did not work, you can't import a savegame from the main Bloodwych game. SPS data disk works fine... Last edited by Adderly; 30 May 2006 at 05:00. |

i seem to remember that i have seen an amiga disk image for the save game disk, can't remember where though, although i will let you guys know if i can find it.
if i can remember correctly from when i had my amiga... it was very fussy about what the save disk was "labelled" as. I think the disk needed to be called Bloodsave, of course i'm probably wrong.. it was a very long time ago since i loaded this game on an amiga . one more thing... the new versions of the disks from SPS run much slower than my old versions (which had broken save/load) despite the fact that i have exactly the same WinUAE settings.... Weird |

Forget about the adfs - as far as I'm aware they still cause an issue with saving and transferring over your team from the original Bloodwych to the extended levels.
What you need is the WHDload version of the game that allows up to 10 save positions to be saved on the harddrive (or HDF) and has no issues when moving over to the extended levels. The link to classicgaming given by Thor above has it available for download (top links). Try that EDIT: Sorry, I missed your post saying you now have a working version. Skip reading is a bad habit! It's not the data disk but the main game. And i can't save. Damn, i also tested the SPS version again and i can't save, same behavior. Both the QTX & Black Monks crack work fine with saving. Maybe the copyprotection and/or savefunction did not work with Winuae??? Dunno, maybe someone with a real Amiga want to test it...
