Lightbulb Using Dualshock 3 analogs as mouse controller?

To my astonishment, the Dualshock 3 works wirelessly on Ubuntu. I fired up Monkey Island 2 just now assuming that one of the analogs would control a mouse (don't ask me why I assumed that - there's no good reason).

Would it be possible to do this so I can banish the rodent from my gaming setup? Ideally I'd like to do it in a way that doesn't interfere with other games, so the right analog could be the mouse and the triggers could be the left and right mouse buttons.

No, this is not possible yet. I have been thinking about this feature myself, and it is something I want to add. I just haven't decided how to implement it yet.
