I never get this kind of stuff...
...mind you that could be something to do with my literally knowing only one person in the flesh who is remotely into computers or retro stuff... ...and he's now all out having given me his CD32 & A1200... ...and I've had the odd pressie from Zetr0 (thanks)... ...ok, ok, so I sometimes get stuff too... Well done whiteb |

Its nicer than an a500 in my opinion, just harder to upgrade because it lacks the trapdoor expansion of the 500. Next time you turn it on crank up the volume and you will hear a unique little startup sound that no other amiga has. Also the composite connector on the rear is colour unlike the monochrome a500/a2000. |

I was thinking (I emphasize Thinking) about getting a GB 1000 made up, assuming I can get the GAL's programmed and Custom chips sourced. The soldering is not a hassle for me. But thats just something to think about at this time. |

GB1000 would be cool if you can source all the parts and do all the soldering yourself. |

From memory, it uses the Chip set from A3000 for the Flicker Fixer. Ideally I would want to go for the FULL hog, Including the Graphics card option and CF adapter, but I do not know how available the Cirrus Logic Chipset is for the Gfx card. (I would have to sell off some of my existing for it, no way the wife would agree to the outlay)
