Overscan trimming?
I would like to be able to trim the overscan in windowed mode, much like a regular TV or RGB-monitor does. Or is it called cropping? On a real RGB-monitor you usually never see the whole 720x576 of PAL resolution, rather you adjust it to fit 640x512 (or double 256 vertical) plus just a little bit extra. I would love to have this option!
And many maaany thanx for easily the best Amiga emulator out there! Cheers. |

Hi Skope,
have a look on the filter window, activate 'Null filter' and then 'Automatic scaling'. I think that is what you're looking for |

I would like to see TCD's WinUAE Configuration Guide, complete with screenshots and red ellipses available soon. Very useful. You could even start a new thread dedicated to the project. prowler |

I'm sure the WinUAE helpfile covers all new features after the v1.6 release.

Well I think about that prowler Surely it's a bit different to set up a guide than just answering questions, so maybe it will be more like TCD's WinUAE Configuration FAQ

I really have to think about it. I guess there are some common questions (mainly about the filter, input and misc panels) that I could answer in hopefully a quite understandable way. When I do I will prepare it a bit, so don't expect it to happen within the next hours (or days ). |

Why re-invent the wheel guys?
Check out pjhutch's excellent website / FAQs and help file if required (which has been updated for WinUAE v1.5.3) At the bottom of the website link there are many topics covering: ... Winuae Installation F.A.Q. ... Winuae Configuration F.A.Q. ... Winuae Disk Images, ROMs, and File Transfer F.A.Q. ... Workbench Installation F.A.Q. ... Application and Driver Installation F.A.Q. ... Winuae Interface F.A.Q. ... Linux E-UAE F.A.Q. ... Macintosh E-UAE/Hi-Torro F.A.Q. ... Amiga Explorer F.A.Q. ... AmigaDOS Command List ... Workbench F.A.Q. |

I'm not going to re-invent anything Damien If I would make a FAQ it would be about some rather specific questions. Think about the new filter and how to setup a custom keyboard 'joystick' I won't write anything about how to setup WinUAE, Workbench or something similar. There are some useful features which are not so easy to spot and those could be made into a FAQ

...and having our own FAQ here on EAB will make it a more interactive resource too!
