Video Toaster with EVAL 8/90 stickers
I took my video toaster apart because I noticed a lot of cold solder joints on it, and some corrossion setting in on the branding (it's made just like non-tinned pads, so I am going to tin them). Once it was apart I saw these stickers on the chips:
TC70086 NEWTEK EVAL 8/90 X5 TC70097 NEWTEK EVAL 8/90 X6 TC70043 NEWTEK EVAL 8/90 X7 The 4th chip on the daughter board only had residue where a sticker used to be. Are these anything special like an evaluation build, or is "EVAL 8/90" just a QA mark? Last edited by Irl; 10 May 2019 at 20:24. |
