Black Dawn Rebirth - Dungeon Crawler/RPG from Double Sided Games

Quote:
Black Dawn was originally released in the 90's created using AMOS by Andrew Campbell, as a very deep and dark atmospheric dungeon crawler, that gave you the chance to use hundreds of weapons and items against a multiple of disgusting enemies. This upcoming crawler announced today, will be the 7th episode in the series

I have a suspicion at least Hellbound was made without Andrew Campbell. But the whole saga is EXCELLENT!

Thanks, you're right for blackdawn 5, 6 and 7: not A Campbell. It is Z Soft (Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert)

Black Dawn Rebirth - new Amiga game under Development

Some board members may remember the PD/Shareware/Licenceware series "Black Dawn". They were Dungeon Master/Hired Guns style first person dungeon crawler RPGs set in space.

Anyway, 20-odd years after the last instalment, (most of) the original development team have got back together to develop a new instalment in the series, which will have a physical release on the Amiga later this year.

More details here: https://doublesidedgames.com/black-d...0-coming-2019/

Oops a daisy, sorry! I thought only me and Shaun already knew about it!

And if anyone has any questions about the series, I was involved in most of the titles in some capacity

Would be awesome if there is any chance to bundle the previous Black Dawn games to the new one. If rights allow.

Another Zsoft Game:
Parasite 1 (1995 Zsoft)
Parasite 2 (1996 Zsoft)
A couple of amendments here:

Black Dawn 1 (1993 A Campbell)
Black Dawn 2 (1994 A Campbell)
Black Dawn 3 Legions of Dawn (1995 A Campbell)

Black Dawn 4 A New Beginning (also rereleased as Black Dawn Remix) (1996 Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert/Zsoft)
Black Dawn 5 Hellbound (1996 Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert / Zsoft)
Black Dawn 6 Champions of Dawn (1996 Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert / Zsoft)

There are two versions of Black Dawn 1 - a PD one and the Shareware version. There are also two versions of Black Dawn 2 as the YouTube videos I have seen don't have my title track - Graeme Virtue did the original and a second release had mine - according to my MOD archives, anyway!

A New Beginning was the first entry written by Z-Soft and it was rereleased with some bug fixes and adjusted levels as "A New Beginning Remix". There's two versions out there.

ThunderDawn (1996 A Campbell) was a post-Black Dawn spin-off but it had bows and arrows and magic so isn't canon. The same engine was used in Fever (also by Andy Campbell in 1996 I think)

That is very different to that we saw in previous parts and it looks really well. Is it AMOS again?

I think the previous parts were a mash up of how the games looked previously as a tease to the upcoming game

I know, I am talking about the games, not about the trailer.
