Amiga 2000 motherboard mod? Extra PCB next to Kickstart Rom

Hi all.

I was looking online at an Amiga 2000 rev6 for sale and was wondering what the extra pcb next to the Kickstart Rom is?

I thought it might be a Kickstart switcher but it's not connected to the Kickstart.

I asked the seller, but they hadn't used it in 20 yrs and couldn't remember what it's for.

Any ideas?

Looks like a logic glue tower. They ran out of the chip that goes there and replicated its functionality with other chips to keep the factory going. Some A500 motherboards have similar towers near the trapdoor slot.
