Mega Twins V1.3 Uploaded to the Zone (Please Test and Provide Feedback)

version 1.3 (10-17-2010) done by Keith Krellwitz (Abaddon):
- Complete rewrite using Patchlist
- Added support for 2nd fire button for both players
- Patched 4x 24bit addressing issues
- Modifed imager to include the bootblock (removed incbin)
- Load/Save scores to HD (Custom2=1 - disable saving of scores)
The scores are saved as soon as you die, so you may see the screen
go black prior to being able to continue.

Just tested (retail), and seems to play fine. The first time i died it seemed to load something (black screen) and after a while the animation resumed.

EDIT: just read that the screen is supposed to go black the first time

The version that was used to install the game (i.e. the data files/disk images).

From the slave perspective only the initial loader (bootblock) is different, but if I recall correctly, the md5 for each disk is different.

Game froze at the game over screen for me.
I couldn't quit using quitkey and had to reset Amiga.
This happened with the retail version on real hardware.

Could you use Custom2=1 to disable the high score save and try it again. I'm going to change it to save the scores on exit instead of when your score gets added to the high score board.

Don't get a freeze here with WinUAE 2.3.0 and WHDLoad 16.9, although I get a random graphic glitch (three 'stripes' on the screen) sometimes. Will try to get a screenshot tomorrow.

Is the glitch on the continue screen or during play?

During play. It appears for some seconds, that's why I haven't got screenshots yet.

Custom2=1 doesn't help.
Deleting the hsc file also makes no difference.
If I quickly press fire when the blue bomb appears it works, but if I leave the game running it freezes just before the title screen.
So it wasn't the game over screen but the title screen I meant.
Oh btw, I also got the three stripes across the screen occasionally.

Setup:
A1200, Kick3.0, 8mb fast, ClassicWB 3.1 Full, WHDLoad 17.0.4874

In WinUAE 2.3 it works, so it seems it's just a problem on real hardware.

Disk access on outro screen must be removed. I fixed this for my disk version of Mega Twins game.

I will take a look over the weekend. I thought I removed all disk access, but I will make sure.

I'm wondering if the bars during play are caused by the saving of the scores. I have not come across the bars yet, but I will do more testing.

I'll try it both my a1230 and my a1200 8mb fast again. I'm sure I let the intro run through as that was where one of the 24bit addressing errors occurs.

I made some changes to the slave and will be posting it here shortly. I have played it through on my 1230 4 fast and my 1200 8 fast without any issues. I even played it through on WinUAE 040 mmu enabled, 040 Jit enabled. I'm getting sick of this game

Edit: Slave is now attached
