Gotek Firmware Flash problem

Hey Helpful Folks.
I'm stuck trying to put new firmware on my Gotek. I've been going around in circles. I've tried two different Gotek adapters and two different TTL adapters and I'm stumped!

I'm following the videos [ Show youtube player ] and [ Show youtube player ] but I'm consistently over two devices and two TTL adapters (One generic one, one sparkfun one I use for programming Arduinos without a problem) getting "Unrecognised device" error from the ST Demonstrator GUI.

I've changed leads, cables. I've tried resetting the chip.

My setup:
GOTEK Model sfrc922d
Generic TTL programmer (Same as the one used on the first video)
Windows 10 PC.

Open to suggestions. I've run out of ideas. It's like the TTL board isn't even seeing the Gotek, even after the "double reboot". Have they secretly changed the way these things are wired?

In desperation.

(Before someone asks, yes, I'm choosing the right COM port when I start up ST Demonstrator)

I would recommend the USB A-to-A option. I myself had trouble getting the serial stuff to work correctly; so I hacked up an USB A-A cable and had much more success.

Good luck!

Yeah, the USB method was simple. I do have a working usb serial device that I used to flash my first Gotek, but I wanted to try the USB to USB method when I saw that for my 2nd Gotek.

It was pretty straight forward. (Although I did buy a short USB A-A cable for a few bucks on e-bay.)
Good luck!

W00t! The A to A method worked first go. A happy F-F has been demonstrated.
Thanks to everyone for your help here.
My Amiga inches closer and closer to being "ready to use".
