amiga 1200 video to scart

purchased a new video/scart lead from amigakit (had a previous 1 from ebay), both have the same 2 issues, so im not having a rant at amigakit lol.

issue 1: when connected to lcd scart (manufacturer digitrix), although the display is clear and in the proper colors, the screen flashes on and off.

issue 2: when connected to an old crt tv, the display is normal and very clear but everything is in the green colour, even tried a game, still the same

a connection of a composite lead to scart, gives the wb screen a shadowy effect, although it can still be read, but its not clear enough, tried same lead on CRT TV, display is similar to an ariel lead

any tips would be welcomed

regards

Alot of lcd these dont follow standards. Your lcd may need the resistors altered to make it switch to rgb mode correctly.

Have you tried all scart inputs on both tv? Some supports RGB, some don't. If the tv has two scart inputs, probably only number 1 supports RGB.

Another good point, but he is getting a picture, but its blanking every few seconds.
Incompatible scart normally gives no picture at all.

Yup, your TV SCART must support RGB.

No it must not, but RGB is far far better than compos(h)ite.

Well yes It "must" if you want quality picture
Not: "must support RGB if you want to live"

I suspect that in Swedish, as in German, "must not" translates to "doesn't have to" in English.
