Yes, I really love rendering old computers
One of my favourites is the Memotech MTX 512, which has nothing to do with Amiga, but I really like the aesthetics of this nice machine. Also it was used in the movie "Weird Science" from '85

I would love a tutorial on how to create one of these objects. They look so damn realistic. Any chance?

Well, the 3d model itself isn't that fancy. You could see a step by step build up of my Amiga 3000 model over at vimeo:

On the other hand the art is to get a nice lighting and create good surfaces. This is more a thing of long experience imho. I am working with Octane-Render since two years and with LightWave since version 3.5 from back in the days.

Ok I will take a look thanks. Yeah its really things like lighting that I would like to learn more about. I've only done some basic modelling using Lightwave 11.6. Would love to be able to create renders like these.

Wow. Looks like your models take an awful lot of work. They must take you hours if not days. Here is my first effort of an Amiga 1000 in Lightwave. I think it needs a bit more work on the lighting.

How's the Commodore Amiga 4000T render going? I'm willing to buy a print of it from you when it's complete

Two of the latest renders made with the brand new Octane 3 Alpha version. Now with air as medium

Awesome renders as usual!

Though a little missing detail... the Commodore Amiga 1080 Monitor does not have the POWER letters in it...

Cheers,

Knocking it out of the ball park once again Thomas, these are so good, I'd expect to see times Roman font with text explaining why you should buy an Amiga A3000T as a photographic magazine advertisement.

Kudos man.
