Most memory efficient way to run WHDLoad on a 2MB A600?
I wonder if the best way to save on memory is to boot without startup-sequence and then type in
cd whdload/gamedirectory add36k whdload game.slave ? EDIT: I tested using the command avail after booting with no startup-sequence. Booted: 1 895 400 add36k: 1 932 376 (make sure to shrink to minimum height of CLI-window before this) addbuffers df0: -99 (yes I know's it's too much but it sure removes all buffers) output: "df0: had 3 buffers": 1 932 984 addbuffers dh: -99 output: "df0: had 3 buffers" : 1 961 928 So 1 961 928 bytes seem to be the largest possible free size on a 2MB A600? maybe you can get more free bytes
do this enter to early startup control and disable df0 and disable pcmcia (cc0) then boot without startup sequence then type addbuffers dh: -99 then type avail and check bytes free |

You're right - that saved some more, now 1 987 680 bytes free!
