If you really like to experience original xcom, with lots of stuff fixed and working better, including HD resolution screen - get openXcom.

Video is nice... playing them both - better.

Yeah, for a total of 45 minutes it takes to finish it, where a single mission can take as long or even longer here.

You can "finish" it, then replay again, because that's what these games are all about. You can finish the first mission in Laser Squad in less than 5 minutes, and yet I still play it occasionally.

But yeah, I know, Mr Gollop should've produced the complete XCom right off the bat in 1984, for the 48kb /3.5Mhz machine ZX is, not bother with all these prequels. Lamer!

Wait a second, Elite was produced back then and was very complex game, still on 48kb and 3.5Mhz.So what is your point - spectrum is incapable of complex games??

You can do that with any game.

I try to leave my feelings behind and stick to the "finish & forget" tactic when it comes to games and movies, there's way too many of them and life is too short.

That's your nostalgic inner-kid talking through you, sorry buddy, this has 0 value for people who didn't grow up with these. Not a fan of the graphic style.

On the other hand, I never played UFO/XCOM when it came out, only when finally got a PC in 1999 and loved it.
